The pricing policy of Translation Agency VIVA aims to ensure at all times both attractive prices as well as excellent quality of our services. We always do our best to provide superior quality at fair prices.

The rate for a translated page depends on the language and the language group thereof as well as the text complexity and the requested turnaround time – whether the translation is a regular or an express order. With regular customers, especially corporate ones, we work at preferential rates. The legalization fee is determined by the type of the document /judicial, municipal, healthcare-related, etc./, the deadline, the number of certifications needed and the applicable statutory fees.

What is a “translation page”?

The European Translation Standard BDS EN ISO 17100:2015 is applicable in Bulgaria whereby one translation page contains 1800 characters of translated output (including punctuation marks and spaces). This standard is followed by all translation agencies in Bulgaria. The calculation is done automatically, using the word count function from the Tools menu of Microsoft Word. If you only have a hard copy of the source document, you probably won’t be able to determine yourself the character count, so you should instead send us a scanned copy or a clearly legible photo taken with your phone of the document here. We will run the source text through a special, optical character recognition (OCR) software to determine the total number of characters and, accordingly, the number of translation pages.

IMPORTANT! In translation services, the number of physical pages of the source document does not always equal the number of translation pages. This is because the physical page depends heavily on the applied formatting (layout, font size and spacing), while the translation page is calculated based on the number of characters, as explained above.
